2009...So Far So Good 06/09/2009
 As we break into the spring here of a lovely 2009, lets take a second to reflect on the great times that have been a part of the Matter's lives. First, we had a wonderful time at Maxfest III in January. It's always such a pleasure to be able to play for Max all these years and this year was no exception. We had our good buddies Robby and Myshack in town and were so fortunate enough to have Robby be able to sit in on keys and piano for a couple songs; just like the old days! Next, we dove headfirst into one of the biggest shows that the Matter has ever seen.... the infamous MM 3D show at the Parish in late February. This was the first time that the Matter was able to headline the Parish and be in charge of producing a really fun project. For those of you that didnt make it down, we missed you, it was an indelible experience and we are still hearing friends and fans rave about it. We're pretty sure that we will be doing another one of those as it was just too much fun. Big props to Skapple, the Blender, Fatty Lumpkin, Toast and Funkotron for making that such a wonderful night of audio and visual pleasure!! Lastly, we finally got to headline our favorite venue in Texas, the Granada Theater. This place couldn't get any more special for us. The sound, the vibes, the staff, the lights, the in-house photographer, our main man 'G'..... it just doesnt get any better. We headed up to Dallas this past weekend to rock the Granada. The weather was perfect and the wine flowed like women and the beer flowed like scotch. We felt so comfortable up there playing and were very confident about the outcome of the show. And those are two things in any musicians life that make them happy, happy. Furthermore, we got a great recording and HD video out of this whole deal so look forward to that as soon as we can get it mixed down to one file. For now, the audio mix is available to download for free HERE. That particular recording is mixed down using 60% soundboard and 40% audience mic. Sounds pretty damn good if we do say so ourselves!  Our favorite time of the year is here and with it comes the urge to dive face first into the action that is SXSW. We’ve got some great shows coming up for that particular period. On St. Patty’s Day, Tuesday March 17th, the Michigan based “BUMP” will join us at the Flamingo Cantina to kick off the music part of the South By week. Make sure and wear your green for St. Patty's Day... and a chance to win a date with bass player!  We are proud to announce our first headlining show at the wonderful Parish Room on 6th street here in the ATX.... and we're not taking it lightly. We've got some great bands playing with us that night as well, including Fatty Lumpkin, Toast, and Funkatron. Also, we've got the one and only Skapple providing the 3D projections and lighting effects for your visual pleasure. 3D glasses will be handed out at the door with ticket purchase. The night starts off early so please come help us make this one to remember!  MAXFEST III is in honor of the wise and knowledgeable Max who has been a great supporter of local Austin music for many years.  We are stolked to be returning to the FlamCan for a Saturday night special.. Nov 15th, we'll have Rusty (Green Lemon) doing the light show! Spank and Hatch, 2 bands respectively, open the night with some heady funk for your dome piece.. ACL Fest After-Party with Spoonfed 09/05/2008

 We are very grateful to be opening for the eclectic & vibrant act, Spoonfed Tribe at Antone's this Friday June 13th. We really need your support and hope to see you out there.  We're back at Nat's in Lakeway and we're taking names. Seriously, this is a private party, so unless you know someone, don't come. We're already at 115 people on the list and the place can only hold 130. If you want to come please let us know soon so we can get you on the list. It's gonna be a rager.  Springtime means West Coast Tour!! Its finally right around the corner and we're gearing up for a nice month long tour through 20 cities and 9 states. It starts in Lubbock, TX, on April 11th, and takes us all the way up the West Coast to Washington, over thru Montana and Wyoming, onto the old home place in CO, and finally ending with 2 nights in Kearney, NE On May 9th & 10th. | Paragraph.
